Jeremy Nuttall, Green Street News – William Wright Commercial Real Estate Service’s recently launched partnership program is the first step in the Vancouver-based brokerage’s plan to go national, Green Street News can reveal.

Last month, the 13-year-old firm began announcing the promotions of seven of its 60 staffers to partner. They are Zuber Jamal, Jeff Hancock, Jeff Brown, Chris van Vliet, Victoria Mitchell, Rod MacKay and Stephen Gammer.

The promotions were done to reward hardworking employees with the status and dividends that come with the title. It also shores up the firm’s top ranks as William Wright looks to open its first offices outside British Columbia.

“It is something we are taking a very serious, long look at in 2026,” Cory Wright, founder and managing partner, said. “The best target for us is the province of Alberta with two offices.”

William Wright initially planned to start the expansion at the beginning of this year but was waylaid by tariff uncertainty and the ensuing economic headwinds.

Regardless, the partnership path proceeded.

“Any employee in a company that contributes a lot probably has always wished to be a partner or an owner in the company,” Wright said. “This way, we thought we could create a unique opportunity for those people to participate as partners in the company and benefit.”

William Wright currently has offices throughout British Columbia, including in the Okanagan Valley and on Vancouver Island.
